The ALS Bike Trek MN will begin at the Big Marine Park Reserve. Each loop along the scenic roads of Washington County varies by experience
level, with the longest ride going up through Scandia. Each loop will have a window period during which to start (beginning at 9:00am) so
that we can keep congestion on the roads to a minimum. Fruit (sponsored by www.fruitshare.com)
pastries, and light refreshments will be provided. Click here to
view the map of the ride. Route changes may be made prior to the event. A final map will be provided to you when you arrive.
Event Schedule
Registration is open from 8:00am until 10:30am at the Big Marine Park Reserve. Participants will ride out in waves starting at
9:00 am. The 14-mile loop will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The 34-mile loop will take approximately 3 hours. The 52-mile
loop will take approximately 3.5 hours. A BBQ lunch will be served at the Big Marine Park Reserve between 12:00pm - 2:30pm.
Fundraising
Although fundraising is not required, it is encouraged and appreciated! We understand that raising money can be challenging, but your ALS Bike Trek MN Team members are here to help! Our comprehensive
fundraising guide will help you get started. And, please feel free to contact us at alsbiketrekmn@als.net
with any questions you may have! We can help you put together a fundraising plan that will bring you to your goal. Each rider,
volunteer, crew member or team will be able to create their own customizable webpage that will be a great tool for yourself, friends,
family, and anyone who'd like to support you! Suggested Fundraising Goal: $250 (or more!)
Ride Support
Riders travel a marked route at their own pace. Support vehicles will patrol the route, and bicycle technicians will be available
for assistance. Along the ride we provide all food, water, fruit (sponsored by
www.fruitshare.com), snacks, and sports drinks.
Rest Stops
Our volunteer crew will set-up and staff rest stops for each of the loops of the ALS Bike Trek MN. There are two rest stops along
the 52-mile loop, and each rest stop is stocked with light refreshments to keep you going.
Medical Staff
Medical staff will be on hand in case of an emergency. All riders will be given the emergency number on their wristbands and route maps.
Fun for the Whole Family!
Encourage your friends and family to join in supporting this amazing day for the ALS community. Please join us at the starting and
finish lines to cheer on all those riding in the ALS Bike Trek MN! At the finish-line, there will be music and a BBQ sponsored
by Madd Joe's BBQ.
BBQ Finish
Our finish-line BBQ is sponsored by Madd Joe's BBQ, and will be the final touch to
what we hope will be a great day! Friends and family are encouraged to attend. Riders eat free, and we ask that guests and volunteers consider
donating $10 to cover our costs. Pre-registration is required for the BBQ. Please click here to register!
Music
We are excited to present the "Mellville's" as the afternoon's musical performance! More to come....
